Rachel Havrelock Co-Host Discovery Channel Documentary: “Who Was Jesus?”
Rachel Havrelock, assistant professor of English and Jewish Studies at UIC, co-hosted a new Discovery Channel documentary entitled "Who Was Jesus?" and contributed to the program's coverage of daily life in first century Palestine, early Christianity, and the Jewish background of the Gospels and the Jesus movement.
The documentary is set to air in three consecutive one hour segments, 7-10 p.m. CDT, premiering on April 5, Palm Sunday. The segments will cover Jesus' childhood, mission, and last days.
Also, Discovery News features a Q&A with Prof. Havrelock about the historical Jesus and the role of women in early Christianity.
